The Juggernaut Rises!

Some logo designs for my man Juggernaut James over at Juggernaut Cylces. James is the man if you want to get the ol' Hog worked on. Plus he does some mean leather work custom leather work on the side. The first one is going to be for his company t-shirts. I think these came out BA!  Juggernaut has an eye for coming up with cool visual designs. He described what he wanted me to draw an I sketched it out, then finished up and the knuckheadzombiegasmask design was born.  Also Juggernaut's bike is the illustration reference for HellYeah!'s hog that will appear in the web comic! For more info check out his website at www.juggernautcycles.com

all good things...

here is my initial blue lines for R&RJ Final Mission. This is the cover of the last of the series. It is set in the story's future and the children are now adults. It was fun aging them. It challenged me drawing characters that were children and not I am having to draw them as adults and its FUN! I wanted both of them to have a more weathered mature and surly look. Raegan actually is showing teeth when she smiles (i guess she realized that its the last cover so she should try). RJ even got rid of his usurious, "guess what I just did" sneer. The idea ws to show both of them more mature and that they got rid of their childish monikers.  Honestly I like my blue lines better than my finals on most projects. The blue lines seem free and flowing. Something about pencils (even digital) that say "art" to me. Please support Rich Collins and buy the series for a kid that you know. They are fun kids books that make great bedtime stories. Rich has been a blessing to me and my art partner Dony, so please be a blessing to him!

Mr. Cuddles... Not your average bear.

for Sir Brandon Noel's 8 Bit Pulp comic. Mr. Cuddles is a creation from Phil Knox and Brandon Noel. It was a challenge coming up with this layout and design. I wanted him to look like a tuff and grizzled teddy bear but still having some "cute" factor. Click here for more on 8 Bit Pulp

Daddy's Little Girl

Kikipop....Little....Snickers...Charlie...Lytte Princezz...Reigene....or simply Kiarra. She is a young woman that has many nick names. To me, She is my sun shine. When she gets up the sun raises and when she goes to bed the sun goes down. I drew this picture for her as her 18th birthday. This was the pen and ink portion but the final portrait is 22x25 and in full color (digital airbrushed) I also included a custom poem I wrote about her.

More on the Virtuous Life

working on more of inking of Mel Todd's: The Virtuous Life comic. I am learning a lot by inking Mel's lines. Mel has a great control of form and flow for his characters. Each time I ink one of his pages I feel that I get better as a character artist. I also find that inking his style helps me with working out my own issues in drawing in perspective. Like the last panel of this page, the worms eye view of the angel is classic Mel Todd. It gives depth and emotion without being extreme.
